May 8 - 10 - Puget Sounders Chapter Lake Mayfield Meet. Lake Mayfield Resort and Marina, about 15 miles east of I-5 between Kelso and Olympia. Not too far of a trek into Washington state, this could be a nice trip for Webfooters in the north Willamette Valley. Here's a great chance to meet fellow AOMC members and check out some motors. There should be plenty of motors and boats on display. There are lodging facilities at the marina/resort [(360) 985-2357], and at nearby Mayfield Lake Park Campground operated by Tacoma Power. Pack a cooler or dine at the marina's restaurant. Food and lodging are also available in Mossyrock, a few miles away.
Directions courtesy of the Sounder's website: I-5 to US Hwy 12. Go east on Hwy 12 for about 12-13 miles, to the bridge over Lake Mayfield. About 1/4 mile east of the bridge, turn right onto Winston Creek Road. Go about 1-1/2 miles and turn right onto Hadaller Road. Keep to the right and you will go directly into the Resort.
